READING, Pennsylvania, February 12, 2020 – EnerSys® (NYSE:ENS), the global leader in stored energy solutions for industrial applications and the manufacturer of ODYSSEY® batteries, along with recently-acquired NorthStar Battery Company, will highlight the latest ODYSSEY® battery and charger product offerings in booth no. 1410 at the American Trucking Association (ATA) Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) 2020 Annual Meeting & Transportation Technology Exhibition. This year’s event will be held February 24 to 27 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
Since the acquisition of NorthStar Battery Company in September 2019, EnerSys® has strengthened its operations and production of Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technologies including its portfolio of ODYSSEY® batteries, engineered to provide premium and long-lasting power for heavy duty commercial trucks. The ODYSSEY® battery TMC Show exhibit will feature ODYSSEY® Extreme Series™ and ODYSSEY® Performance Series™ Group 31 batteries, uniquely designed to handle the increased use of on-board accessories in today’s high-end vehicles. They also provide deep cycle reserve power and maximum cranking power, with engine cranking pulses up to 2,700 amps for 5 seconds, which is double that of equally sized conventional flooded lead acid batteries. Also on display at the show will be NorthStar’s PRO line of Group 31 batteries.
Also highlighted during this year’s show will be the ODYSSEY® battery advanced shop chargers, offered in a range of 12-volt chargers rated at 35, 70 or 105 amps that are capable of operating freestanding or wall-mounted for ease and flexibility. The 70- and 105-amp units use a 4.3-inch multi-color dashboard screen with an easy-to-use, programmable menu that displays charging status.
“EnerSys strives to provide customers with premium solutions that are not only dependable and deliver on performance, but also offer a user-friendly and virtually maintenance-free experience,” said Alan Kohler, Marketing Manager at EnerSys. “Our diverse, expanded line of ODYSSEY batteries and advanced battery shop chargers address these power needs and more, ultimately leading to a lower Total Cost of Ownership for heavy duty fleet managers.”
