Increase Fleet Uptime with the EnerSys ODYSSEY® Connect Battery Monitoring System

We all know that the battery plays a pivotal role in keeping your fleet operational. So not knowing a battery’s true condition can lead to serious consequences including a decline in productivity, unnecessary out-of-pocket costs and disruptions to your core business operations.

But what if you were able to track the health of your battery directly on your cell phone? With the ODYSSEY® Connect battery monitoring system from EnerSys, you’ll be powering your fleet with the market’s first “smart” Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) battery, so you can track your battery’s performance to spot anomalies before they lead to serious downtime.

Featuring patented technology, the ODYSSEY® Connect battery monitoring system is compatible with a variety of Connect-enabled ODYSSEY® battery models, including ODX-ACE31, and can be used in a diverse range of vehicle applications. In fact, the system can provide paramount insight into the power performance of 12-volt, AGM batteries featured in tractors, Auxiliary Power Units (APUs), liftgate trailers, heavy-duty electric fleets and more. With the ability to analyze the internal battery temperature in an under-cab battery box application, customers can focus on how to isolate/direct heat for maximum temperature reduction and increased longevity. Being able to review historical raw battery data using the ODYSSEY® Connect battery monitoring system also allows end-users to see system inefficiencies from certain batteries in a pack that are carrying most of the starting load as well as identify batteries that are not receiving enough charge to reach full capacity.

The ODYSSEY® Connect System Advantage

With the ability to view warning and safety notifications via Bluetooth® on your Apple® or Android smart device, customers can review a variety of battery performance trends including:

  • State of Charge (SOC) – the ODYSSEY® Connect system captures SOC data and highlights it in an easy-to-read graph showing 20 percent increments over a six-day period.
  • State of Health (SOH) – SOH data is viewable by the user to proactively monitor battery health highs, lows and warnings, which may require corrective actions.
  • Voltage and Temperature – the system can highlight the previous six days of battery voltage and temperature data in a combined graph.
  • Battery History – from the first day of battery operation, the ODYSSEY® Connect battery monitoring system captures and analyzes battery operating parameter history.

Increasing battery life is very important because it helps provide customers with increased uptime. The ODYSSEY® Connect battery monitoring system truly gives the end-user more control over their vehicle power. With the ability to check the health and performance of your battery virtually anywhere, anytime via a device in the palm of your hand, why wouldn’t you invest in this state-of-the-art system?
