EnerSys® to Highlight ODYSSEY® Connect Battery Monitoring System at 2024 TMC Show

EnerSys® (NYSE:ENS), the global leader in stored energy solutions for industrial applications and the manufacturer of ODYSSEY® batteries, will feature its ODYSSEY® Connect battery monitoring system at the American Trucking Association (ATA) Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) 2024 Annual Meeting & Transportation Technology Exhibition. Engineered with proprietary technology to actively monitor and track battery health and performance data for optimal operations, the advanced software will be demonstrated in ODYSSEY® battery booth no. 4545 at this year’s premier technical conference, which takes place March 4 to 7, 2024, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The ODYSSEY® Connect battery monitoring system captures and records battery State of Charge (SOC) and State of Health (SOH) by monitoring voltage and temperature status through cranking and other events. Customers can view warning and safety notifications directly on their Apple® or Android smart device via Bluetooth® to spot system performance anomalies and address appropriately.

“From the first day of battery operation, the ODYSSEY® Connect monitoring system can analyze battery operator parameter history to enhance productivity and deliver uninterruptible power for a lower total cost of ownership,” said Dave McMullen, Senior Director of Global Marketing, Transportation & Specialty at EnerSys. “By providing our customers with more control over their vehicle operations, with the ability to review their battery trends on a 24/7 basis, they can worry less about the state of their equipment and focus more on their core business objectives.”

Also on display in the 2024 TMC Show ODYSSEY® battery booth no. 4545 will be the company’s full line of maintenance-free ODYSSEY® batteries, engineered to provide twice the power and triple the life of traditional flooded lead acid batteries for a variety of heavy-duty applications. Featuring patented Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technology for greater surface area and deep-cycling capacity, ODYSSEY® batteries are the ideal power solution for drivers dealing with idling restrictions or seeking to achieve less manual labor requirements and frequent battery replacements. The rugged AGM construction and non-spillable design of ODYSSEY® batteries also protect against high-impact shock and mechanical vibration, helping to provide longer service life. Backed by an industry-leading warranty, they feature a two-year storage life at 77°F (25°C) and are available in a wide variety of sizes with Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) as high as 2,250.

EnerSys will also showcase its new line of ODYSSEY® battery chargers, manufactured with built-in temperature controls and a battery status indicator for added convenience and productivity. Available in the European Union (EU), United Kingdom (UK) and North American markets (USA and Canada) in 5A, 15A and 25A variants, the recently launched, high-quality portfolio of ODYSSEY® chargers are designed to efficiently charge a variety of ODYSSEY® battery models as well as other quality brands of Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) flooded lead acid and Lithium-ion batteries.
