Snowplow Trucks Rely on a Dependable Power Solution
Municipal governments often are responsible for responding to snow emergencies with their own fleets. While other options exist, such as renting equipment, hiring private contractors or deferring to county or state governments, many jurisdictions use vehicles and equipment that are municipal property. Keeping roads clear for emergency services, such as police, firefighters and ambulances, as well as school buses, public transit, commercial vehicles and other kinds of traffic, can help keep residents safe and business activity in operation during the harsh winter months.
One important component of the snow removal fleet is the vehicles’ batteries, which is critical to overall operation. A few notable tips to help keep your batteries in good condition for optimal productivity and performance are listed below. As always, be sure to follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for battery care and handling and direct any questions to your battery professional.
- Check that all components are clean and that the batteries are free of acid accumulation as well as corrosion.
- Inspect cables, connections and the battery case; all cable connections should be secure. Replace damaged cables and clamps, but if terminals are stripped or scuffed, or the case is cracked or leaking, the battery itself should be replaced.
- Batteries for fleet vehicles should be tested for charge before being deployed. A voltmeter, for example, can measure Open Circuit Voltage (OCV). The battery manufacturer’s specifications will indicate what OCV value corresponds to 100 percent State of Charge (SOC). If a charge is necessary, the battery manufacturer’s specifications will provide the proper charging guidance.
If batteries need replacement, premium batteries, such as virtually maintenance-free ODYSSEY® batteries, will provide greater durability and power than conventional lead acid batteries. ODYSSEY® batteries feature Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) construction. They are sealed to be non-spillable and leakproof, as well as shock- and vibration-resistant. They are manufactured with a proprietary Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technology and the pure lead plates can be made thinner so that more can fit into the same battery footprint and provide additional surface area for more chemical reactions with the electrolyte. This enables ODYSSEY® batteries to generate twice the overall power of conventional batteries at up to 400 cycles at 80 percent Depth of Discharge (DOD).
ODYSSEY® batteries also can perform in temperatures as low as -40°F (-40°C) and can fully recharge in as little as four hours. Even though they require a greater initial cost investment than conventional batteries, they save time by reducing maintenance and require less frequent replacement, as their rugged construction enables them to provide three to 10 years of service life. Other notable features include a shelf life of two years or 12.20V, whichever comes first, when stored on open circuit (i.e., nothing connected to the terminals), and they are backed by an industry-leading warranty.
Municipalities face many challenges in anticipating costs for snow removal services. Budgets must accommodate various expenses, some of which are as difficult to predict as the weather itself. Using premium batteries for the fleet, like ODYSSEY® batteries, may cost more initially, but their durability, power and dependability can help minimize unplanned downtime for fleet vehicles when they are needed most.

Why Truckers Choose ODYSSEY® Batteries for Their Winter Sleeper Cabin Comfort
Truck drivers depend upon their Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems to ensure their comfort, not only while driving, but also when they use their sleeper cabins. Climate control, including heating during cold weather, has traditionally been powered with the truck’s idling engine during rest periods. However, recent federal and state regulations have restricted idling to reduce emissions. This has left drivers to depend upon other means, including the battery, to power their HVAC systems and other onboard accessories that support comfortable and convenient travel. Using a premium power solution to eliminate extended engine idling will not only save fuel costs, but also enable you to start the engine when you’re ready to get back on the road.
Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technology in ODYSSEY® batteries enables plates to be thinner, so more fit into the same battery footprint. More plates provide greater surface area for the electrolyte to react with, which generates greater power. Pure lead plates also reduce the risk of sulfation and corrosion, which can cause premature failure.
ODYSSEY® batteries are virtually maintenance-free, as no watering is required, and are backed by an industry-leading, full replacement warranty. They also can perform in temperatures as low as -40°F (-40°C).
ODYSSEY® batteries offer an exceptional, long-lasting and cost-effective alternative to engine idling for powering climate control and other necessities for sleeper cabs in any weather. They provide enough power and energy to keep the sleeper cab comfortable without shortening the intended service life of the battery.

Holiday Gift Ideas for the Boating Enthusiast
Holiday gift shopping is often inspired by the interests of the intended recipients. For example, gift ideas for boating enthusiasts include spill-proof drinking glasses and cups, waterproof storage and clothing, and quick-drying shoes. Electronic gadgets, such as fish finders for boating anglers, are also popular. Another gift idea is a marine dual-purpose battery, which can start the boat motor and power trolling and house loads. House loads are typically 12-volt accessories like pumps, lights and audio equipment, as well as fish finders.
Trolling and house loads from onboard accessories require a low but sustained current with deep discharges that would deplete a starting battery. Most dual-purpose batteries are the Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) type, in which the positive and negative plates are separated by absorbent fiberglass mats saturated in electrolyte and sealed. An advancement in AGM technology is Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) batteries, such as ODYSSEY® Marine Dual Purpose batteries from EnerSys®.
The pure lead plates found in ODYSSEY® Marine Dual Purpose batteries are thinner than alternative chemistries, so more can fit into the same footprint to provide as much as 15 percent more surface area. With more surface area for the electrolyte to react with, more power is generated for a given volume. Pure lead plates also reduce the risk of sulfation and corrosion, which can cause premature battery failure. TPPL technology produces both the Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) needed to start the motor dependably and deep cycling up to 400 cycles at 80 percent Depth of Discharge (DOD) to power trolling and house loads.
ODYSSEY® Marine Dual Purpose batteries simplify recommissioning, as they tolerate storage abuses better than conventional flooded lead acid batteries. They can be stored for two years at temperatures of 77°F (25°C) or lower and still operate reliably, even after being idle when decommissioned for winter.
Their AGM construction makes ODYSSEY® batteries vibration-resistant, capable of being mounted sideways without spilling and virtually maintenance-free, as no watering or changing is required. They are also backed by a limited two- to four-year full replacement warranty.
With the CCA to start the motor and the deep-cycling capability to support trolling and house loads for hours, ODYSSEY® Marine Dual Purpose batteries deliver premium performance. They offer twice the overall power and three times the life of conventional marine batteries and are the perfect gift for the motorboat owner in your life.

“ODYSSEY® Battery Academy” Episode 4: Boondocking & RV Batteries
Welcome back for the fourth installment of the video series, “ODYSSEY® Battery Academy,” featuring Bryce Gregory, Product Manager, Transportation Systems & Specialty Products for ODYSSEY® Battery! This episode will discuss boondocking and how it affects your batteries

While Your Boat is Stowed Away for the Winter, Don’t Forget to Check on the Battery
Nothing can spoil the early days of spring worse than launching your boat and finding out the batteries are dead. You take great care during the winter months to drydock your boat, clean the hull, clean and treat the teak, polish the chrome, remove salt residue and buildup, and more. However, if you do not take steps to also protect your boat’s batteries, you will likely not be able to enjoy your boat without replacement when the warmer temperatures arrive.
The good news is that if you take a couple of simple preventative steps, you can extend the life of your marine batteries and help make sure that everything is “ship-shape” when you are ready to launch your boat in the spring. Even if you live in the warmer states where you may not need to “winterize” your boat, it’s a good idea to still check the battery when you know your vessel is not going to be in use for an extended period. As always, be sure to follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for battery care and handling and direct any questions to your battery professional.
Proper Storage and Charging Procedure is Key
A good step to ensuring a healthy battery for your vessel come spring is making sure it’s safely and properly prepped for its winter slumber. It’s wise to inspect cables, connections and the battery case as well as remove any dirt or corrosion on the battery terminals. If you’re using a conventional lead acid battery, make sure to water it properly by following specified measurement levels outlined by the battery manufacturer.
When you know your boat will sit idle for several months, it’s a good idea to remove the battery from the vessel and store it in a cool, dry location, where it will not be exposed to freezing temperatures that can damage the battery. With a conventional lead acid battery, store it safely in a plastic bin or on a surface that will not react with acid should the battery leak or become damaged.
If you opt to not remove the battery from your boat, you should disconnect all the terminals to avoid the battery from fully discharging. Many electronic systems can continue to draw small amounts of power from the battery, called parasitic loads, even when properly turned off.
Whether you decide to keep your battery on the boat during the off-season or stow it in a spot of its own, it should be located somewhere within easy access so that you can perform regular maintenance checks to determine the battery’s State of Charge (SOC). On a conventional flooded lead acid battery, check each cell with a hydrometer to confirm a specific gravity of 1.265-1.285 or read the voltage with a voltmeter. A voltage of 12.6V indicates a fully charged flooded battery. An Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) battery voltage would read 12.9V or higher when fully charged.
Fully charging the battery before storing it is recommended to prevent the buildup of sulfation, which can accumulate to a point where the battery will stop working. A fully charged battery will help prevent over-discharge from parasitic loads that onboard electronic devices and accessories can cause. This can also be prevented by using a trickle charger in storage. However, the best practice is to disconnect the negative battery cables or use a battery disconnect switch to ensure that no devices are wired directly to the battery.
The “Cold” Facts
In the colder states, proper charging becomes even more important, especially in conventional batteries. The key to protecting any battery from freezing is to make sure it stays fully charged throughout winter. If the battery is used sporadically, and left to discharge during this time, the electrolyte begins to change from acid to water as the voltage declines. The more water-like the electrolyte becomes, the easier it is to freeze. A fully discharged battery can freeze at around 32°F (0°C).
Selecting a New Battery
Virtually maintenance-free ODYSSEY® Marine Dual Purpose batteries are manufactured with a military inspired design and Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technology to offer slower self-discharge, less corrosion, faster recharging and better endurance in harsh environments. They can be brought back from 20 percent SOC to better than a 90 percent SOC in about an hour, are resistant to high-impact shock, and can perform in extreme temperatures as low as -40°F (-40°C). They are designed to deliver twice the overall power and three times the life of conventional flooded lead acid batteries.
Whether you are seeking enormous cranking power to start the dual engines in your yacht or the deep cycle reserve power for all your accessories to enjoy a day of fishing, ODYSSEY® Marine Dual Purpose batteries have the power to enable you to have a worry-free day when it’s time to get back out on the water.

Upgrade Your Commercial Fleet Power with ODYSSEY® Batteries
Over time it’s only natural that the non-stop demands and required uptime placed on today’s commercial fleets can begin to wreak havoc to the vehicle components. This includes the battery, which is critical to overall performance and operation. It is not only responsible for starting the engine but also powering important onboard accessories that can help contribute to keeping the driver safe, entertained and comfortable.
The good news is when you’ve determined you’re ready for a battery upgrade, there are a variety of designs to choose from that can enhance fleet performance and productivity. Once predominately dependent on traditional flooded lead acid batteries, the battery market has progressed with much more advanced battery chemistries that offer fleet managers optimized power solutions that deliver reliable, safe, convenient and long-lasting service. Among them include Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) ODYSSEY® batteries, manufactured by EnerSys® with proprietary Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technology for increased starting power, faster charging and longevity.
Let’s take a look at some of the benefits of this premium battery technology over alternative designs.
Dual Purpose Power for Critical Accessories
In addition to starting the engine, today’s work trucks also need to draw power from its main battery source to operate a variety of essential accessories required on the job, such as day cabs, sleeper cabs, GPS, radio and communication devices, as well as heating and air conditioning systems. Auxiliary power drain can shorten the life of a conventional flooded battery but ODYSSEY® dual purpose batteries are designed for cycling service and deeper discharge.
Tolerance to Extreme Weather Conditions
Commercial fleets must answer the call of duty regardless of the weather conditions. Winter temperatures and/or excessive heat can all play a role on the performance of the battery. ODYSSEY® batteries are engineered to perform in extreme weather conditions at temperatures as low as -40°F (-40°C) to as high as 176°F (80°C).
Virtually Maintenance-Free
Conventional lead acid batteries require regular maintenance including watering. Virtually maintenance-free, non-spillable ODYSSEY® batteries are sealed and do not require watering, saving manual labor and downtime.
Long-lasting Performance
ODYSSEY® batteries offer a service life of up to three times that of conventional flooded batteries and can recharge to 100 percent in as little as four hours.
Durable to Rough Terrain
Commercial fleets undergo significant vibration on the job and are often subject to rough terrain, like gravel roads or highways impeded by cracks and uneven concrete, during travel. That vibration can impact the performance of the battery. Manufactured with a military inspired design, ODYSSEY® batteries are built to withstand heavy-duty environments and are very robust.
Built-in Safety
Unlike conventional lead acid batteries, ODYSSEY® batteries do not leak electrolyte. They also feature built-in valves to allow safe dispersal of any excess gas generation in the unlikely event of errant charging.
Invest in the Best
Whether you decide on a premium ODYSSEY® battery or another chemistry, be sure to follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for battery care and handling and direct any questions to your battery professional. With so many options to choose from in today’s marketplace, fleet managers can customize their battery solution to fit their unique power demands. ODYSSEY® battery is a dependable product that provides an assortment of benefits to help deliver a lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and keep drivers on the road.

This year, the National Football League (NFL) season runs from September 9 to Super Bowl Sunday on February 13, and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) season runs from August 28 to the College Football Playoff (CFP) Championship Game on January 10. For many attendees, the pre-game tailgating party has become part of the fan experience. Among the types of vehicles found at a typical football tailgating party are Recreational Vehicles (RVs), which offer the advantage of having luxurious onboard amenities, like kitchens, bathrooms and even entertainment space, that can make the experience more enjoyable and convenient.
The RV kitchen, for example, can offer a refrigerator for storage of food and refreshments, while the stove, oven and microwave can cook or reheat hot dishes. Other amenities may include a propane powered heater as well as a host of electrical appliances such as radios and televisions for pre-game broadcasts, indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures, and charging stations for your personal devices.
These onboard accessories often rely on one important thing for their source of power and overall performance - the RV’s battery. To keep the RV itself and its electrical and electronic accessories running, it’s important to ensure that the battery is properly maintained and charged. If cleaning is needed, disconnect the battery and use a battery terminal brush with ammonia or a solution of one part baking soda to three parts water to clean the terminals. You can clean the rest of the battery with water. Also check to make sure the connections are secure and replace any broken cables and clamps. If the terminals or case show damage, it may be time to replace the entire battery.
If your RV uses a flooded battery, make sure the water levels are topped to a half-inch above the plates. Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) batteries, like ODYSSEY® batteries, are sealed and require no watering, which makes them virtually maintenance-free. The sealed construction also prevents spillage and resists high-impact shock and mechanical vibration.
The RV battery should also be fully charged to prevent sulfation, which occurs when the battery is discharged resulting in low voltage. When charging, the current must be high enough to provide a full charge. Consult the battery manufacturer’s specifications for the proper level and rate of charge. Use a voltmeter to determine the battery’s State of Charge (SOC) by measuring the Open Circuit Voltage (OCV). Wait at least six to eight hours after the engine and accessories have been turned off and the battery has been inactive (ideally disconnected) to ensure that the surface charge is gone before measuring OCV.
Always be sure to follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for battery care and handling and direct any questions to your battery professional.
When purchasing a new RV battery, consider a premium, dual-purpose battery. For example, ODYSSEY® batteries, which feature proprietary Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technology, provide twice the power and three times the longevity of equally sized conventional lead acid batteries. Their high-quality, fast-charge capabilities allow them to handle 400 charge/discharge cycles to 80 percent Depth of Discharge (DOD). The TPPL technology in ODYSSEY® batteries also enables slower self-discharge rates than alternative battery chemistries.
Pre-game tailgating parties make a day at the game more fun and memorable, especially if you take the RV. With any vehicle, a dependable, dual-purpose battery that can handle starting, lighting and ignition, as well as the range of accessories that are available for comfort, safety and entertainment, helps reduce the chance of mishaps that can put a damper on the outing. Using an ODYSSEY® battery with TPPL technology will help deliver the reliability and power you need for a worry-free day at the stadium.

EnerSys® Recognizes Fall Car Care Month with Battery Maintenance
The Car Care Council, a nonprofit organization that educates motorists about the proper care, maintenance and repair of their vehicles, continues its effort, “Be Car Care Aware,” with Fall Car Care Month in October. The Car Care Council advises that along with heaters, wipers, lights, tires, brakes and filters, the battery needs attention when preparing for the cold weather.
The wear and tear of the summer heat often becomes more apparent when the weather gets colder and the requirements to crank your engine increase. As the Cold Cranking Amps (CCAs) rating represents how much current the battery generates at 0°F (-18°C) to maintain at least 7.2 volts for 30 seconds, frigid conditions increase the functional viscosity of the oil making the engine more difficult to crank, and simultaneously increasing the functional resistance of the battery. These conditions necessitate that the battery produce as many CCAs as possible to run the engine and electrical accessories for a successful start.
Premium-quality Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) batteries, like ODYSSEY® batteries, provide ample CCAs even at a low Depth of Discharge (DOD). Their proprietary technology features pure lead plates that are thinner than those in conventional batteries, so more fit in the same footprint for greater surface area, and therefore, more power. They tolerate temperatures as low as -40°F (-40°C) and can recover from deep discharges that occur when powering onboard devices, like heaters, defrosters and radios. ODYSSEY® Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) batteries are sealed so they are non-spillable; and do not require watering, making them virtually maintenance-free.
Fall Car Care Month is an opportune time to check in on the condition of the car’s battery through proper inspection, cleaning, testing and charging. Following are some tips for preparing your battery for winter. As always, be sure to follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for battery care and handling and direct all questions to a battery professional.
Safety first: When handling the battery, protect your eyes and hands with goggles and gloves and use insulated tools to prevent a short circuit in the battery.
Inspection: Make sure all cable connections are secure. Check battery components for corrosion and acid burns. Inspect terminals for stripping and scuffing, the case for cracks and leaks, and hold-down ties for breakage. Damaged cables and clamps may be replaced, but a damaged case or terminals require replacement of the battery itself.
Cleaning: Cables and connections should be free of dirt. If cleaning is required, disconnect the battery. Acid accumulation can be neutralized and cleaned with ammonia or a paste of one part baking soda to three parts water. Clean the deposits from the terminals with a battery terminal brush. Clean the case and clamps with water. Once the battery is reconnected, the terminals should be coated with dielectric grease or petroleum jelly to prevent more deposits from accumulating.
Testing: To determine the battery’s State of Charge (SOC), measure the Open Circuit Voltage (OCV) with a voltmeter six to eight hours after the battery has been charged. This interval ensures that the chemical reactions in the battery have reached an equilibrium and that the surface charge is gone. The manufacturer’s specifications will indicate the OCV that corresponds to 100 percent SOC (usually 12.7 to 12.9 volts). If a charge is necessary, consult the battery manufacturer’s specifications for the proper level of charge.
Charging: Battery life varies due to many conditions; however, nothing ensures that a battery will perform for its intended service life like proper charging. Keeping the battery fully charged prevents sulfation, which reduces available plate surface area to deliver power or energy. The current must be high enough for a full charge, but not so high that it overheats the battery. Again, consult the battery manufacturer’s specifications for the proper charge settings.
Fall Car Care Month reminds you that preparing your car for the winter will help improve its performance under the season’s harsh weather conditions. If you find that your battery needs replacement, choose a reliable battery, like the ODYSSEY® battery, for enhanced vehicle performance in low temperatures and during demanding power loads.

Tips for Properly Storing Your Marine Battery During the Off-season
As fall approaches, and boating enthusiasts bid farewell to the open waters for a few months, it’s important that your vessel is properly stored. This also applies to the subsystems of the vessel including the battery. To ensure a smooth start-up next season, follow some simple tips to winterize and store your marine battery. Always be sure to follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for battery care and handling and direct any questions to your battery professional.
- Perform end-of-season maintenance. Inspect cables, connections and the battery case. Remove any dirt or corrosion on the battery terminals. If you’re using a conventional lead acid battery, then make sure to water it properly. Measurement is key; avoid overwatering or underwatering. Fill to the specified level by the battery manufacturer.
- Give the battery a final charge. There are two reasons for this. First, it will help ensure the life and capacity of the battery. Second, maintaining a full charge will help keep the battery from freezing in cold winter temperatures.
- Check State of Charge (SOC). On a conventional flooded lead acid battery, check each cell, with a hydrometer, to confirm a specific gravity of 1.265 – 1.285 or read the voltage with a voltmeter. A voltage of 12.6V indicates a fully charged flooded battery. An Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) battery voltage would read 12.9V or higher when fully charged.
- Disconnect the battery cables. Leaving your battery in place with cables connected makes it susceptible to parasitic draw from any electronics that remain connected. While this may only represent a very small power draw, even a very low draw can drain the life of a battery in a relatively short period.
- Store the battery. It’s a good idea to remove the battery from the vessel and place it in a cool, dry location. Make sure it will not be exposed to freezing temperatures, which can damage the battery. If you are using a conventional lead acid battery, store it safely in a plastic bin or on a surface that will not react with acid should the battery leak or become damaged. If you will be maintenance charging the battery, make sure you have easy access to the battery.
- Maintenance charging. Consider using a trickle charger, or a smart charger, if you want to be sure that your battery doesn't overcharge. Chargers aren’t universal so be sure to use the right charger and the right settings for your battery and type.
Virtually maintenance-free ODYSSEY® Marine Dual Purpose batteries are manufactured with a military inspired design and Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technology to offer slower self-discharge, less corrosion, faster recharging and better endurance in harsh environments. They are resistant to high-impact shock and vibration that can impact the longevity of a battery and can perform in extreme temperatures as low as -40°F (-40°C). They are designed to deliver twice the overall power and three times the life of conventional flooded lead acid batteries.
Come to think of it, maybe there’s one more tip that should be added to the top of the list. If your end goal is a smoother start to the boating season, consider upgrading the battery in your boat to an ODYSSEY® Marine Dual Purpose battery—that is, if you don't already own one.

The Effects of Heat on Your Heavy-Duty Battery
Most people know that cold weather affects battery performance. But what about the effect of summer heat on your heavy-duty battery? The fact is, that extreme heat is also detrimental to battery life.
Both conventional flooded lead acid batteries and Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) batteries suffer water loss in extreme heat—and water is essential to the electrochemical process within the battery.
Lead acid batteries function using an electrochemical process in which lead plates react with an electrolyte. As the temperature rises and a battery absorbs heat, the process speeds up exponentially. This results in an increase in plate corrosion, self-discharge, and over a prolonged period of time, sulfation. Sulfation is the development of large crystals on the negative plates, blocking surface area and impeding battery performance.
Heat Comes from Several Sources
There are also other factors that expose heavy-duty batteries to excessive heat other than the climate. Over the past decade, truck designs have been focused on achieving better aerodynamics in order to improve fuel mileage. In these design modifications airflow is directed over, above and behind the vehicle, rather than directing it to cool the engine and other heat generating components in the engine compartment and underneath the vehicle. Often, the position of the battery box is closer to heat generating components. In short, the battery is in a hotter location that isn't as efficiently cooled. Temperatures can reach 140°F and higher.
Simply stated, batteries discharge faster in excessive heat. Unless the battery design includes features that help protect the battery from the heat, or if preventive measures aren't taken, battery life and performance are likely to be affected. It is estimated that constant exposure to heat above 77°F cuts battery life in half for every 15°F rise in temperature.
What You Can Do
Choose wisely. Selecting a battery that stands up better to excessive heat is a good place to start. Non-spillable and virtually maintenance-free, AGM ODYSSEY® batteries, manufactured with Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technology, can perform in extreme temperatures as high as 176°F (80°C). They also offer slower self-discharge rates, less corrosion and faster recharging than alternative battery chemistries.
Know your battery is fully charged. You can’t assume that vehicles in use everyday recharge their batteries. Because excessive heat causes faster discharge, it is a good practice to use a maintenance charger on idle vehicles exposed to excessive heat.
Keep track of the installation date. Plan to replace your battery within the manufacturer’s recommended time frame. Knowing that excessive heat can have an effect on battery life, there’s no need to press your luck.
All things considered, there isn’t a lot you can do about summer temperatures, but you can put yourself in a better place down the road by knowing how heat affects a heavy-duty battery—especially when it comes to buying a new battery or getting longer battery life from the product you already own. Always be sure to follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for battery care and handling and direct any questions to your battery professional.
