Angela and Amber Cope

Amber and Angela became the third generation of Cope’s to enter into the world of racing, when, at the young age of nine, the girls’ parents gave them a go-kart for Christmas and thus began their road to NASCAR. The American auto racers made history this year when they become the first twins to ever race in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

Bigfoot

It all began in the mid-1970s, when Bob Chandler, then a St. Louis, MO construction contractor, owned an F-250 4x4 pickup truck. Chandler used his truck on the job and for off-road family fun on the weekends. But he found ways to break even the toughest of trucks, and that led to the discovery that there was no place in the Midwest to get 4x4 parts and service. Recognizing a potential market, Bob, Marilyn, and Jim Kramer, started Midwest Four Wheel Drive & Performance Center. Then, in 1981, Chandler tried something that forever changed the monster truck concept. It fueled an explosion of fan interest and led to a legion of imitators. He decided, just for fun, to see if he could drive BIGFOOT over a couple of junk cars. A few months later, he duplicated the stunt in a stadium show. The rest is history.

Kane "Insane" Friesen, originally from Edmonton, Alberta Canada, started riding motorcycles when he was 18. TEAM ZIPPER AIR RACING

ODYSSEY® batteries are used by Team Zipper Air Racing. Team Zipper entered the air racing arena in 2006 with a Pitts model S1C biplane capable of plus or minus 6 to 8 G’s acceleration. In 2009, they acquired a former racer known as Humm Baby which they rebuilt and renamed ZIPPER II. The name “ZIPPER” is borrowed from the popular name used worldwide for the Lockheed F104 double sonic jet fighter. George Andre, team owner and pilot, was one of the test pilots of the F104 and is very proud of that association.
